JOB PURPOSE
The incumbent will be responsible for analysing and defining user requirements, developing, testing and maintaining software in order to ensure the achievement of the goals of the Authority.
Under the supervision of the Manager - ICT, the ICT Technician - Systems, Analysis, Development & Support will carry out the following key responsibilities:
- Designing, developing, documenting, analysing, creating, testing and modifying computer systems, programmes and integrations.
- Developing and maintaining applications and databases by evaluating client needs, analyzing requirements and developing software systems.
- Maintaining computer systems and programming guidelines by writing and updating policies and procedures.
- Researching, evaluating and recommending solutions and appropriate technology to meet the needs of users.
- Analyzing user information system needs.
- Documenting functionality and requirements.
- Applying system-analyst techniques and procedures, including consulting with users to determine hardware, software or systems functional specifications.
- Developing and customization of SAP programmes.
- Managing and enhancing the Authority’s online platforms including but not limited to the website, intranet and the like.
- Working under strict change control processes to ensure only authorized changes are made to systems.
- Programming computers by encoding project requirements in computer language and entering coded information into computers.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
General Education:
Five (5) ‘O’ Levels with Credits / “Cs” including English, Mathematics and any science subject. Professional/Academic Qualifications:
- Diploma in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent
Minimum Experience: Three (3) years of relevant experience.
CERTIFICATIONS
- At least two of the following certifications or equivalent C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python, VB.net, JARSON
- SAP certification will be an added advantage.
